DESCRIPTION:Visit the eighth annual Young Archie competition exhibition a
 t the Art Gallery of New South Wales to discover the creativity of young a
 rtists from around Australia.\n\nInspired by the Archibald Prize\, the You
 ng Archie competition invites children and teenagers aged five to 18 to su
 bmit a portrait of someone who is special to them and plays a significant 
 role in their life.\n\nMore than 1800 entries were received in the 2020 Yo
 ung Archie competition\, which were judged by guest judge\, Western Sydney
  based artist and winner of the 2020 Sulman Prize\, Marikit Santiago\, and
  Art Gallery of NSW family programs manager Victoria Collings.\n\nA perenn
 ial favourite at the Gallery\, the Young Archie competition is part of the
  family program for the Archibald\, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2020 exhibit
 ion.\n\nThere are four age categories: 5-8 year olds\, 9-12 year olds\, 13
 -15 year olds and 16-18 year olds. The ten finalists in each age category 
 are on display at the Gallery exhibition until 10 January 2021.\n\nArtwork
 s receiving an honourable mention are also displayed online and\, since 20
