SUMMARY:School Holiday Science Workshops
DESCRIPTION:Are you a student who loves science? Our&nbsp\;school holidays&
nbsp\;workshops are now open for registrations. All of our workshops are l
ed by real microbiologists. Students receive genuine\, hands-on science ex
 perience!\n\nStudents in&nbsp\;Years 3-6&nbsp\;can meet their microbial mi
nions in our&nbsp\;Microbial Me&nbsp\;workshop! They’ll discover they ar
e mostly microbes\, spawn their own minions and build and blast a biofilm.
&nbsp\;\n\nStudents in&nbsp\;Years 3-6&nbsp\;can delve deep into the amazi
ng microbial ecosystem that is Planet Earth in our&nbsp\;Microbe Planet&nb
sp\;workshop\, and discover more about the hidden microbial worlds in pond
  water\, in soil or on plants.\n\nStudents in&nbsp\;Years 5-8&nbsp\;can jo
 in the microbiologists in&nbsp\;CSI: Microbiology&nbsp\;to investigate a f
oodborne disease outbreak – which food did it? Plus\, we’ll introduce
you to the fascinating field of microbial forensics - you’ll be amazed h
ow the microbes on the bottom of your shoes can reveal all about where you
 ’ve been!\n\nIn&nbsp\;Of Microbes and Minerals\, students in&nbsp\;Years
3-6&nbsp\;can learn how microbiologists classify cells and mineralogists
classify crystals\, and try out your new skills to identify a mystery spec
imen. Then join us as we explore the close connections between microbes an
d minerals\, through the science of geomicrobiology\; we’ll travel from
Earth to Mars and beyond\, make your own microbe fossils and more…\n\nAl
 l workshops run from 9.30 am – 3 pm each day.\n\nTo book\, head to our w
eb page or email us. Join our mailing list or follow us on Facebook for up
 dates.\n\nEmail:&nbsp\;contact@quantalbioscience.com\n\nFacebook:&nbsp\;ww
