About Sydney Community Services
SCS provides services to seniors and people living with a disability including social activities, gardening, home nursing, podiatry, Community Care Advisory, linen, home delivered meals, home modifications and maintenance, flexible respite, carers support, shopping services, community and engagement programs, medical transport and assistance in daily life.

The Role
- Develop, manage and optimise key Sydney Community Services marketing and communication channels;
- Create fit-for-channel creative for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn that aligns with SCS’ brand and social media strategy;
- Research and produce the SCS monthly newsletter, including writing, editing, compiling and online publishing;
- Write and upload content to the SCS website;
- Work alongside key stakeholders including Graphic Designer, Marketing Manager;
- Work with the service and support Coordinators and Managers to identify opportunities to market their services and supports and create corresponding marketing collateral;
- Assist and support staff in key market research activities, including surveys, focus groups and interviews and provide key input into the marketing, communications and publication strategy;
- Prepare a monthly report on communications, marketing, website and social media activity.
Requirements/skills/experience
- WordPress confident;
- Experience in Mailchimp;
- Confident writer who can use ‘plain speak’ language;
- A strategic thinker who understands how to develop content for social media that promotes the SCS brand;
- A sound understanding of Google Analytics;
- Good communicator who can set appropriate deadlines and liaise with multiple stakeholders;
- Ideally a marketing/communications professional.
