Head along and enjoy a train ride with the kids\, or just watch th e trains go by! \;\n\n Gates open at 9:30 – rides from 10 am to 3 p m (but may finish earlier if there are very few people left or the weather turns bad).\n Trains run continually throughout the day. There will be a mix of steam and “diesel” (i.e. petrol or electric) locomotives.\n W et weather? Running day will only be cancelled if there is steady rain at Galston in the morning.  \;A decision will be made by about 9:30 am. I f you want to get the latest information on the day\, please call us on 96 53 1630 after 9:30 am.\n Hot weather. The running day will also be cancel led if the forecast (for Parramatta) indicates that the day will be 40 °C or more.\n\nPlease note that in the event of a Total Fire Ban\, the DIY B BQs will be unavailable and only “diesel” locomotives will be running (no steam). However\, the Sausage Sandwich Stall will still be open.\n\nFa cilities\n\n Picnic tables (sorry – no bookings taken\, gates open at 9 :30am)\n Sausage Sandwich Stall between 12 noon and 1:30pm\n DIY barbequ es – these are wood fired (wood supplied) but please bring your own matc hes\, firelighters and BBQ tools etc. The DIY barbeques will be unavailabl e if there is a total fire ban\n Tap water is available throughout the pi cnic areas\n Canteen selling tea &\; coffeee\, cold drinks\, ice cream s &\; lollies\n Display of small stationary models\n Garden gauge mod el railway display\n Miniature Traction Engine rides (on some days)\n Ma le &\; female toilets (sorry – no disabled facility)\n\nPlease note t hat the site has steps – if you bring a pram or stroller it will be nece ssary to carry it up &\; down steps.\n\nTickets\n\n Site entry for adu lts is $7.50 (sorry\, no concessions).
