I Can Read Ryde is looking for an experienced Literacy Teacher to teach reading and literacy programmes to 3.5 -12 year olds. This role is a part-time casual and may need to work on Saturday. All training and certification to teach I Can Read curriculum will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver I Can Read curriculum in a small group and/or individual basis
- Provide input to the Centre’s curriculum timetable
- Build good, open communication with children and parents
- Ensure the learning environment is clean and safe
- Undertake administrative tasks as required
You will need:
- An early childhood / primary teaching qualification
- Experience teaching in an early childhood and/or primary environment
- High levels of energy and enthusiasm to motivate young children through their literacy journey
- Working with Children Check
- Current first aid certificate preferred
