DESCRIPTION:The Blak Markets is a great chance to buy locally made gifts an
 d products directly from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 
 who made them in the knowledge that the profit goes back to Indigenous com
 munities.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe day will begin with a welcome to country follo
 wed by live music\, dance performances\, workshops and will feature a new 
 art exhibition Fire and Water – Warlukurlangu to Gadu -featuring artists
  connected to the Aboriginal community of La Perouse alongside artists fro
 m Warlukurlangu Artists' Aboriginal Corporation from yuendumu NT.\n\n&nbsp
 \;\n\nThis one day festival features cultural performances\, art exhibitio
 n and workshops alongside great bushfood offerings and products to purchas

 ak Markets will host the inaugural art month at Bare Island\, La Perouse t
 his November\, featuring a new art exhibition\, art markets at hands-on wo
 rkshops throughout the month.\n\nThe celebration launches the Blak Markets
 ’ first art exhibition entitled\, \n\nThe exhibition will be officially 
 opened to the public as part of the Blak Markets on Bare Island on Sunday\
 , 5 November at 10am to 4pm\, and will run until the end of November and a
 ll works are for sale. Bare Island is in Kamay Botany Bay National Park.\n
 \nWarlukurlangu Artists will also host a painting workshop and there will 
 be a new dance performance inspired by the Fire and Water theme\, choreogr
 aphed and presented by Kerry Johnson and the local Aboriginal women of the
  community.\n\n&nbsp\;
