SUMMARY:Blackmores Sydney Running Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival started in 2001 as a leg
acy of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. It is the sole remaining participati
on legacy of the Sydney Olympics.\n\nThe event is owned by Athletics Austr
alia\, a not-for-profit organization responsible for the management of the
sport of Athletics nationally. All profits from the running festival are
ploughed back into the sport of athletics. \n\nThe Blackmores Sydney Runni
ng Festival is run on one of the most spectacular courses in the world\, t
aking in all of the Sydney iconic landmarks and providing all runners with
a unique opportunity of crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge traffic free.\
n\nAn amazing achievement is that the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival i
s the only Australian running event that is broadcast live.\n\nThe event i
s also a hugely successful fundraising event supporting a number of local
and national based charities. In 2015\, the event helped to raise over $1\
,737\,647.66 for charitable organisations. The total funds raised since in
ception is over $15\,500\,000.\n\nWe want to see you at the Blackmores Syd
ney Running Festival on Sunday\, 17 September 2017!\n\nFour events for all
ages and abilities:\n\n42k Blackmores Sydney Marathon\n21k Blackmores Hal
 f Marathon\n10k Blackmores Bridge Run\n3.5k Blackmores Family Fun Run\n\n&
