SoundLab Jr – Music Production for Kids (Ages 8–12)

At SoundLab Jr, we introduce kids aged 8–12 (Grades 3–6)
to music production in a fun, supportive, and professional environment.
Students learn creative and technical skills while actively making
their own music.

How It Works

SoundLab Jr is not a fixed 4-year program.
Students can start at any time and progress through clear learning phases
at their own pace. The focus is on confidence, creativity, and real skills —
not racing a clock.

The Learning Phases

• Absolute Beginner
  Perfect for first-timers. Students learn how music production works,
  explore sounds, make beats, and build confidence using professional tools.
• Going Places
  Students develop stronger ideas, structure tracks, and refine their sound
  while learning real production techniques used in modern music.
• Rule the World
  Advanced creative control. Students develop their own style, finish full
  tracks, and prepare for releases, performances, or further creative study.

Class Structure

Classes run for 10-week terms, with
1-hour sessions each week.
Each class has a maximum of 4 students
to ensure personalised attention.

Pricing

• Trial class: $40 (deducted from term fee if continuing)
• Term enrolment: $350 for 10 weeks
• Private lessons: Available on request

Our Approach

Students learn beat-making, sound design, recording, and mixing using
modern digital music tools. Lessons are hands-on, creative, and designed
to keep kids engaged while learning real production skills.
