Job Description
Canale Financial Group has an opening for a part time SMSF Accountant.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled SMSF Accountant to join our team and manage a diverse portfolio of SMSFs. You’ll play a key role in delivering compliance work, liaising with clients and auditors, and staying across regulatory changes.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Manage a portfolio of SMSF clients, including client engagement and annual compliance work
- Prepare and review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and audit documentation
- Liaise with the ATO, clients, auditors and financial planners to deliver seamless service
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team
- Contribute to process improvements and support team members
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as required
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Commerce, Accounting or similar
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in SMSF administration
- Strong technical knowledge of SMSF legislation and tax compliance
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Experience with BGL 360 software
Salary levels will be commensurate with experience, education and the ability to display exceptional communication skills
